This 1-Day Operational Planning & Undercover Techniques Course is designed for law enforcement and investigative personnel seeking focused instruction on the planning and execution of undercover operations. This course emphasizes pre-operation preparation, role development, and disciplined decision-making as critical factors for mission success and officer safety.
Students are trained in operational planning principles, including defining objectives, intelligence analysis, target assessment, team selection, communication planning, logistics, legal considerations, and contingency development. Instruction highlights the importance of thorough preparation and adaptability in rapidly evolving environments.
The undercover techniques portion of the course focuses on covert roles, behavioral discipline, appearance and equipment considerations, verbal and non-verbal communication, and maintaining credibility while operating in undercover capacities. Students learn how to integrate undercover roles within surveillance operations while minimizing the risk of compromise.
Leadership and risk management are woven throughout the course, emphasizing sound judgment, situational awareness, and accountability. Case studies and instructor-led discussion are used to reinforce lessons learned from real-world operations.

Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for obtaining permission and approval from their departments prior to registration if the student plans to attend on duty and have the agency pay for it. You know the rules.
If you want to attend, we recommend working with your agency prior to registering for a class. Because if you register for a class, and your department does not approve your time or tuition for any reason, you are still responsible for the terms of the attendance and cancellation policy including any applicable tuition. Target Audience
This course is designed for law enforcement officers, investigators, supervisors, and security professionals tasked with conducting covert operations; however, all current law enforcement and security personnel of any rank and assignment are welcome.
